TAX SENIOR ACCOUNTANT Daughtrey & Haag, P.C. is a progressive local, accounting firm that provides quality services to our clients. We are currently seeking a Tax Senior Accountant. Our staff uses the latest technology and resources to serve businesses, individuals, not-for-profit organizations, and commercial enterprises in the Williamsburg area. We are looking for a highly motivated individual to actively become a major part of our Firm's continued success. Responsibilities: Our ideal candidate will possess 3+ years of public accounting experience in a tax environment, with a concentrated focus on complicated returns dealing with individuals, partnerships, corporations, estates, trusts and tax-exempt entities. Serves the needs of the client and Firm by preparing and reviewing all types of tax returns and tax related engagements, in addition to any other related client needs. Coordinates with the Partner on all phases of the engagement. Reviews the working papers and determines that the engagement has been performed in accordance with professional standards and the terms of the engagement letter. Promptly brings to the attention of the preparer any significant findings or questions. Develops practice referral sources and participates in practice development activities. Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor, reflective of the Firm, at all times. Must conform to a team approach in performance of their duties. Requirements: 3+ years of experience in public accounting - specifically handling individual, corporate and partnership tax returns Experience performing compilation engagements Thorough knowledge of the tax process Superb verbal and written communication skills Excellent MS Office experience Knowledge of Accounting and Tax Software Systems BS in Accounting from an accredited university CPA Certification strongly preferred As a progressive public accounting firm providing a quality product, Daughtrey & Haag, P.C. offers our staff opportunity to excel in a wide variety of industry-specific functions.
